StoryKind is an AI reading app for children aged 3–10. During the public beta, up to 200 families can apply for three months free. Each story stars your child, matches their interests, and is written near their Lexile level.
Paid plans after the beta include three stories per day per child. Free trial accounts outside the beta get three stories total. Narration with word-by-word highlighting is on paid plans.
Safety in production uses age-aware prompts, blocked themes, and a pre-generation filter. Parents can report or delete any story. Further automated post-generation checks exist in the codebase and are not enabled until they meet the quality bar.
